KATE HANS as OPAL KRONKIE
Kate comes to SPAO as an award winning actress and director.   The Theatre Association of New York State (TANYS) awarded her the 2005 Excellence in Acting award for her role as Veta Louise in The Circle Players production of "Harvey".  She has also won prior TANYS awards in acting for her ensemble work in "Beauty Queen of Leenane" and "Prisoner of Second Avenue".   Kate won as a director for her ensemble work in "Spreading the News" for The Spotlight Players.  She is no stranger to the role of Opal having directed two other Opal works, Opal's Husband" and "Opal's Million Dollar Duck" along with "Arsenic and Old Lace" and "The Lion in Winter" for the Spotlight Players.  Kate has appeared on stage for Home Made Theater, the Albany Civic Theater, Curtain Call Theater and  as Mrs. Wire in the Schenectady Civic Players production of "Vieux Carre" with SPAO's Mike Wolske.  We welcome Watervliet's comedienne Kate as she makes her debut on the SPAO stage.

TERRY FORD as SOLOMON BOZO   T The  

Terry has always brought enthusiasm to the SPAO stage.  Be it a leading role, such as Oscar in “The Odd Couple”, or a small one, like the phone man in both “Barefoot in the Park”, and “Full Moon”, you know he’s going to make it funny.  One of the original founders of SPAO, and former president, Terry produced most of our early productions with Jerry Petronis, under the moniker The PetFord Twins.  His stage roles have included the SPAO productions of “You Can’t Take It With You” , “The Mousetrap” , “Harvey”, “Bus Stop”, ”All in the Timing, Among Others” - Variations on the Death of Trotsky , "Don't Dress For Dinner",  "Arsenic and Old Lace", "The Foreigner", "Don't Drink the Water",and "The Solid Gold Cadillac".  His most recent appearance was in the role of the volatile jealous husband in last fall's "Lovers Leap".  Now retired, Terry resides in Stillwater with wife Carole and “Wonder Dog”, Louie.

SCOTT FELLOWS as BRADFORD WINTER
Scott made his SPAO dinner theatre debut in the spring of 2001 at 19 years of age playing the cowering villian Dr. Herman Einstein, the role Peter Lorre made famous, in "Arsenic and Old Lace".  By that time he was already a stage veteran having appeared previously in the SPAO Youth Theater production of "Fiddler on the Roof", and The Stillwater School Drama Society's productions of "My Son is Crazy.... But Promising", "Jenny Kissed Me", and "The Diary of Anne Frank".   Scott's wild dinner theatre characters continued as Owen Musser, the Georgia red-neck member of the Ku Klux Klan in SPAO's "The Foreigner",  the crazy taxi cab driver in "Lunch Hour"and the country bumpkin of "A Bad Year for Tomatoes" all for SPAO.  He is most proud of his lead role as the clean cut fumbling lover in SPAO's hit comedy "Don't Drink the Water".   We are happy to welcome the zany Scott back to the SPAO stage.  Scott now resides in Stillwater.

 
KRATIA URE as GLORIA GULOCK

Kratia started performing as a child. She has danced for 13 years (ballet, tap & jazz) and has been a choreographer for local cheerleading squads. She has been active in chorus, Madrigal and All State Choir. She made her theatrical debut with SPAO in 2003 as the lead role of Casey Delevan in "Kiss or Make Up" and has been a part of the SPAO family ever since. Just after completing her supporting role as Amelia Shotgraven in SPAO's  2005 spring production of "Solid Gold Cadillac", she ventured for a musical as a hot box girl with Clifton Park's The Not So Common Players rendition of "Guys and Dolls". When not on stage she is behind the scenes helping with prompting, props, hair, make-up and scene changes.  Kratia is a 29 year old Albany resident. She is very excited to be back on the SPAO stage and says "There is no better way to keep busy in the midst of a career change." She gives thanks to family, friends and SPAO comrades for all their love and support, with special thanks to Jason and the McClements' family for their gracious hospitality.  


JERRY PETRONIS as THE DOCTOR

Jerry has been with SPAO from the start producing, acting, and directing.  He played the father in SPAO's first production, "You Can't It With You" in 1989.  He also appeared in the SPAO productions of "The Mousetrap", "Play It Again, Sam", "The Fantasticks", "Dracula", "Harvey", "Bus Stop", "Fools", "Heaven Can Wait", and  "Wait Until Dark" during the years at the high school.   Jerry developed the current dinner theatre concept and directed our first two dinner theatre productions, "Poisoned Pawn" and "The Sunshine Boys".  He also directed  "Don' t Dress For Dinner", "All In the Timing", "The Foreigner", "Arsenic and Old Lace" and last fall's production of "Lovers Leap".  Jerry directed the SPAO Summer Youth Theater musical's "The Sound of Music" and "The King and I".   His dinner theatre appearances  include the roles of Felix Unger in "The Odd Couple", Teddy in "Arsenic and Old Lace", the TV director in "The Sunshine Boys", Lenny in "Rumors", the director in "All In the Timing",  Peter in "Lunch Hour", and Ambassador Magee in "Don't Drink the Water".  Jerry was advisor and director of the Stillwater School Drama Society for two years. He has also appeared in Round Lake's Summer Theater productions of "The Miss Firecracker Contest" and "The Night Thoreau Spent in Jail" and as a lead character in The Schuylerville Players production of "Murder at the Howard Johnson's".  He is a current member of SPAO's board of Directors.   Jerry resides in Stillwater. 

 
MIKE WOLSKE as OFFICER JOE JANKIE

In Mike’s first two appearances with SPAO, his characters had no lines.  It was not until “The Sunshine Boys” that he finally spoke on stage, albeit only three lines.  Since then, Mike has taken on many roles for SPAO, from the young panicky lover Paul Bratter in “Barefoot in the Park” to the dastardly Krojack in “Don’t Drink the Water.“ His other SPAO credits include “The Odd Couple”, “Divorce Southern Style”, “Full Moon”, “Murder By Mistake”, “All in the Timing, Among Others”, “Arsenic and Old Lace”, “Moon Over Buffalo”, “Over the River and Through the Woods”, “The Foreigner” and "Kiss or Makeup". Mike has also performed with other area groups, including The Nickel & Dime Players, Albany Civic Theater, Round Lake Summer Theater, and the Schenectady Civic Players, where he appeared in the co-lead as The Young Writer in Tennessee Williams’ self portrait “Vieux Carre”  with Kate Hans.  We welcome Mike back to the SPAO stage after a two and a half year absence.  Mike is a resident of Stillwater.
