Ed is completing his 13th year with SPAO, having started as a prompter and backstage hand for the 1996 fall production of “Barefoot in the Park”. It was during rehearsals for “Barefoot” when he first met Bonnie & Mike, his companions in crime in this production. Also in the fall of 1996, Ed first appeared on stage as Vinnie, the sunburned poker player, in SPAO’s production of “The Odd Couple”. Ed’s major stage credits since then include Ernie Cusack in “Rumors”, Peter in “Murder by Mistake”, Charlie Baker (the foreigner) in “The Foreigner”, and George Farley in ”Lover’s Leap”. He enjoys all aspects of the theater, from tech to production, and does not hesitate to work backstage or frontstage when not on stage. His hobbies include music and gardening. Ed says “I am so thrilled to be working with Mike and Bonnie again! I have learned so much from both of them over the years.” A past President of SPAO, Ed is employed by Selby & Smith Sheet Metal, and resides in Stillwater with Sandy, & “Digger” the dog.
Over the years Mike has taken on a number of roles for SPAO, from Paul Bratter in “Barefoot In The Park” to Krojack in “Don’t Drink The Water”. Other SPAO credits include “The Foreigner” and “Over The River and Through The Woods”. Mike has also appeared with other groups around the area including Albany Civic Theater, Schenectady Civic Theater, Schuylerville and Round Lake. Mike is currently on the board for SPAO and lives in Easton, N.Y.
